Applications open 9am 7 November and close midnight 28 November 2025. Late applications will not be accepted.
Groups and organisations may apply for up to $750 and match this funding in-kind. Groups and organisations must also meet the priorities set out by NSW Youth Week.
These include:
- Provide an opportunity for young people aged 12 to 24 to express their ideas and views and act on issues that impact on their lives at a local level;
- Raise issues of concerns of young people, and develop strategies to address them;
- Increase the community’s awareness of young people and the issues which are important to them; and highlight young people’s contributions to the community;
- Involve young people in the planning, coordination and implementation of local Youth Week programs and activities.
Funding Requirements:
- All funded Youth Week activities and events must take place during NSW Youth Week 2025 (16-26 April 2026).
- All Youth Week funding must be spent on activities planned for young people aged between 12 and 24 years old, which meet the priorities set out by NSW Youth Week (outlined above).
- Be held physically within the Camden Local Government Area and/ or be facilitated by a service based in Camden LGA, where the event/ activity has an online component
- Effort must be made to include a range of young people within the local community including: young Aboriginal and young Torres Strait Islander people; young people with disability; young people who are geographically isolated; young people from non-English speaking backgrounds; young people disadvantaged by their socio-economic background; young women; and/or young offenders;
- Funding cannot be used for activities on which the funds have already been spent (i.e. retrospective funding or budget deficits); or are regular activities for the applicant; contributions towards service operating expenses; or activities which are incompatible or inconsistent with the aim of NSW Youth Week;
- Applications must demonstrate clearly how the activity will be funded. Applicants must match dollar for dollar funding or through demonstrating in-kind support. Funding requested may be spent on prizes, project resources/material, catering, facilitators and/or equipment hire.
- Applicants must be schools, community-based organisations, not-for-profit groups, local youth services or organisations and only one application per organisation will be accepted;
- Successful applicants will be required to provide Council will a copy of their insurance policy, demonstrating they have public liability cover for the approved project, activity or event (required at the time of submitting the EOI); and current COVID plan in line with NSW Health directives during Youth Week.
- Successful applicants must include both the Camden Council and NSW Youth Week logo on all promotional material, and any other required sponsor’s logos or written acknowledgement. Any promotional material that includes Camden Council’s logo must be emailed to Council for approval prior to distribution.
- a) Confirmed details of the funded project and the signed funding agreement must be returned to Council for inclusion in the program of events using the Youth Week Activities Form (all forms to be provided by Council).
b) Successful applicants must submit an evaluation report and financial expenditure information at conclusion. This must be submitted to Council no later than Friday 22 May 2026;
Successful applicants must document Youth Week activities i.e. digital photographs, videos etc. and this evidence must be submitted to Council with the completed evaluation report.
Successful applications for funding are decided at the discretion of Camden Council, and those applicants will be advised by Camden Council in writing.
